Mission Statement

Our mission is not to entertain. Our main purpose and goal is to effectively reach a lost and dying world for Christ through song and testimony while encouraging the saints of God along the way. We cannot be effective in our ministry unless the Holy Spirit fills us with His presence and power. The message is simple: Jesus came into this world to save sinners and He is willing that none should perish, but that all should come to repentance through His shed blood on the cross. With His help and by His grace we will continue to lift up the name that is above every name until our time on Earth is over.

Barry Rowland

As the founder of Barry Rowland & Deliverance, Barry has been no stranger to gospel music. Barry is the son of award winning song writer Kyla Rowland. Barry accepted Christ at a Saturday night singing in the summer of 1977 where his mom and uncle were singing. Barry joined them in the ministry a few years later in 1983. After years of travelling with his family, in 2004 Barry felt the call of God to start his own group. It wasn't long before Barry Rowland & Deliverance became synonymous with old fashioned, powerful, Spirit led gospel music. You can hear Barry’s warm baritone voice on songs like “He Crossed Out My Sin and Shame” and “God’s Word Will Stand”.

Matthew began his tenure with Barry Rowland and Deliverance in April of 2017. He began singing in church as a teenager and went on to join a small local gospel quartet in his hometown of Hattiesburg. MS.
